The KYANA Region is a chapter of the Antique Automobile Club of America (AACA), a club dedicated to the preservation and enjoyment of the antique motor vehicle. The KYANA Region adds fellowship and local involvement to those goals.
Following are KYANA’s basic membership requirements. Until all requirements are met, you are considered a pre-member.
- You must be a member in good standing with the AACA to become a member of the KYANA Region. KYANA will process both membership applications on your behalf.
- Dues during your first year are only $10.00 payable to KYANA. If not already an AACA member, your first year’s membership in AACA is complimentary, benefit of KYANA. In subsequent years, annual dues total $55.00, $10.00 for KYANA and $45.00 for AACA. One check in the combined amount payable to KYANA will confirm your membership in both clubs. Thereafter, annual dues are collected in the fourth quarter of each year and forwarded to AACA on your behalf by KYANA.
- You will be assigned a sponsor who will welcome you and be available to answer any questions you have about the club. Your sponsor will inform you of upcoming events, encourage you to attend, and help introduce you to the greater membership at events you attend.
- New members are required to attend a minimum of six (6) KYANA club events in their first membership year to move from pre-member status and achieve full membership in KYANA. Your sponsor will maintain an event attendance form that will be sent to the Membership Chairman once you have completed your attendance requirement. One of the six events attended must be the annual KYANA Swap Meet. All KYANA members, pre-members, spouse, or partners are expected to work one four-hour shift at KYANA’s annual swap meet. There are a multitude of work options spread over many days and hours so you will find it easy and enjoyable to support the KYANA Swap Meet.
- As a KYANA pre-member your subscription to the club’s monthly newsletter, The Sidelight, will begin with the next monthly issue after your application is processed. Our club newsletter is a wealth of information about upcoming events, your club officers including contact information, board meeting minutes, and a variety of other topics. As an AACA member, you will also begin receiving their bi-monthly award-winning magazine, Antique Automobile.
